a flowing river

a flowing river is seen upon a mountain
sending tears of the empty on their last journey.
darkness, solitude.. engraved on my tombstone
yet love prevails, self-conscience does not.

as my spirit walks around for days and days
i see the suffering and pain, the chuckling and joy
lost in a forest, i am unsustainable
the last pieces of my heart crumble and shatter
the end seems so far, although so close.

sanity was my only way to knowledge
a chilling gust of wind sends shivers down my spine
echoes of my past encounters surround the holy ground
to this day i loved. but now i shall mourn the loss of my sight
the remnant disappears without a trace.

transcendence

on barren fields of winter's crushing cold
emotion, pride and grace all come to none.
and your deity has chosen not to help you this time
it falls apart, struck by the tainted winds of misery.

an irritating feeling of our prosaic thoughts
reverts the hope and faith we have to fear.
bound by something of our own creation
the heart wants most, what the mind can not take.

like cowards we wait for great reform by otherworldly hands.
a paradox occurs,
the circle survives,
an aether realm exists in our sacred plain.

(somewhere in the beginning of summer 2017. wrote this as a song, but me and my friends never finished it.)

I

spiral

a world that is beyond perception,
exists in the tablets of history.
we are close to define,
yet far away to accept.
a frightful spirit, in darkness
turns away from the light.
only a spiral sequence
of turning arrows on a clock,
holds us from understanding
everything within our decaying grasp.
the cries of a broken spirit,
grace the tomb of a once great man,
but the grave is ravaged, and empty.

(somewhere in the summer of 2017. was a very emotional and hard summer to live through.)
